Description
The HPE Networking Instant On Switch 1940 S4A35A is a high-capacity managed PoE switch designed for small and medium-sized businesses that require high-density Gigabit connectivity, faster 2.5GbE ports, and high-speed network uplinks.
The switch provides 40 × Gigabit Ethernet ports and 8 × 2.5GbE ports. The 40 Gigabit ports support Class 4 PoE, while the 8 × 2.5GbE ports support Class 6 PoE, making the switch particularly suitable for powering modern high-performance Wi-Fi access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and other PoE devices. The complete switch has a substantial 600W PoE power budget.
For network uplinks and aggregation, the S4A35A includes 4 dedicated SFP+ ports, supporting high-speed fiber connections of up to 10GbE. This configuration is especially useful where multiple 2.5GbE access points need faster uplinks to the network core or servers.
